US delegation of lawmakers to visit Iran: Lantos

United Nations: A delegation of United States lawmakers is expected to visit Iran over next few weeks, American Congressman Tom Lantos said yesterday (Mar 27, 2006).

Though he did not elaborate, the issue of Iranian plans to enrich uranium is expected to be on the top of agenda if the visit finally materialises.

Lantos, who was talking to reporters after a delegation of US lawmakers met UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to disucss United Nations reforms as also the Iranian issue, said he had a dinner with the Iranian Ambassador to the world body Sunday night.
