CBI raids 37 places in connection with AIIMS test

New Delhi: CBI today (Mar 29, 2006) conducted raids at 37 places in Chennai and Pondicherry after allegations of malpractices by students appearing for the recent All India Post-Graduate Examination held by the AIIMS.

Raids were being conducted at these places after the merit list of the examination saw 37 candidates from these areas having topped.

The Health Ministry received complaints that large-scale bunglings had taken place during the exam.

The Ministry took up the matter with the CBI, which registered a case on Monday after receiving a notification for the same from the government.
