PMC announces candidates names for 5 constituencies Wednesday, March 29 2006 14:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The Puducherry Munnetra Congress today (Mar 29, 2006) announced the names of candidates for five of the ten constituencies the party would contest as an ally of the
AIADMK in the assembly polls here.
The party's founder-leader P Kannan told reporters that former Education Minister K Lakshminarayanan will be the party's nominee in Cassicadai. He is seeking re-election from
the constituency.
P Rajavelu, who resigned as congress legislator last week to join the PMC,is the party's nominee in Bahoor (reserved) constituency.Rajavelu presently represents this segment.
T Jayamoorthy, an independent member, who joined the PMC, is the party's nominee in Ariyankuppam which he represents in the assembly now.
Retired government school teacher, C Ramadoss and V K Ganapathy, are the party's nominees in Villianoor and Karaikal (south) constituencies respectively.
Kannan said names of candidates for the remaining five constituencies (Raj Bhavan, Mudaliarpet, Nettapakkam, Bussy and Kuruvinatham) would be announced shortly.
Kannan said he would contest the polls and the constituency from where he would seek election would be revealed soon.
