BJP asks constituent parties to form third front Friday, April 7 2006 15:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Kottayam:
BJP has asked the constituent parties in the LDF and the UDF to form a third front, for 'strengthening' their existence.
The situation will be 'dangerous' after the assembly elections. The big political parties were targeting the allies for seat sharing process, BJP state General Secretary P K Krishnadas told pressmen here yesterday (Apr 06, 2006).
Das alleged that both UDF and LDF had in one way or the other had secret understanding with extremist Islamic organisations. UDF had aligned with the National Democratic Front (NDF) while LDF with the Progressive Democratic party led by Abdul Nassar Madhani.
The Jamaat-E-Islami's state unit has also decided to back LDF candidates. Both UDF and LDF leaders were trying to woo PDP by paying visiting Madhani at the Coimbatore jail.
He said BJP was not satisfied with the investigation into the twin blasts case in Kozhikode and burning of a bus at Kalamassery last month. In both cases the culprits were not arrested, he said.
