BCCI to take action against Jagmohan Dalmiya today
Sunday, April 9 2006 10:41 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: The Cricket Board would take further action against former BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya at its Working Committee meeting here today (Apr 09, 2006).

"We will take action against Dalmiya at the meeting," a top source in the BCCI said.

Dalmiya, also the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal, skipped the meeting which was attended instead by Chitran Mitra of CAB.

The presence of A C Muttiah, an adversary of Dalmiya and former BCCI chief, also intensified speculation that the veteran sports administrator might be banned from attending BCCI meetings.

Dalmiya is already facing charges relating to embezzlement of funds and is being probed by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police.
