Agarwal Mahasabha wants ministerial berths in Govt
Friday, April 14 2006 15:23 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Pradesh Agarwal Mahasabha has demanded better representation for the Agarwal-Vaishy community in the Vasundhara Raje government.

More ministerial berths for its MLAs would help them better serve the community, the Mahasabha said in a resolution adopted yesterday (Apr 13, 2006) on the eve of its annual conference.

Mahasabha President Rajendra Modi also urged the state government to give berths to the community's members in the state's boards and corporations.

Criticising the proposed reservation policy of the Centre in higher education, the Sabha expressed concern that it would hamper the career of talented students, Modi said at a press conference here.
