Srinagar blasts: J&K police arrests nine militants

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police today (Apr 15, 2006) said they have arrested nine militants responsible for yesterday's serial blasts here which claimed five lives and rendered 35 others injured.

The militants were arrested while they were traveling in a minibus from Srinagar to Ajas Bandipura, Director General of Police Gopal Sharma told reporters here.

"Following the Bohri Kadal blast last evening, Srinagar police collected some vital clues leading to the identity of the militants," he said.

Huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the militants.
