Mumbai: BJP leader Pramod Mahajan was today (Apr 22, 2006) injured after a close relative shot at him at his residence in Worli in central Mumbai, police said.

Mahajan received bullet injuries in his stomach and chest and was rushed to Hinduja Hospital where he is being operated upon, police added.

Police said the person, who shot at him, claimed to be his brother Pravin Mahajan, a resident of neighbouring Thane district and had come to meet Mahajan this morning.
