Bardhan flays at Govt for accepting King's decision
Monday, April 24 2006 16:03 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Thiruchirappalli: CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan today (Apr 24, 2006) criticised the Indian government for 'hastily welcoming' Nepal King Gyanendra's suggestion to transfer all executive powers to a government constituted by an alliance of seven parties.

"The government has welcomed it without going into the details", he told reporters here.

Stating that the CPI stood solidly behind Nepal's Seven party alliance, he asked, "What right the King had to contain the Maoists".

He also criticised the King's order to disconnect the mobile services in the country saying "It was unfair".
