Chennai: DMK President M Karunanidhi today (Apr 24, 2006) wished BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, who is in a critical condition after being shot by his brother, a speedy recovery and return to normal routine.

In a telegram to Mahajan's wife, the DMK leader said he was shocked by the 'ghastly' incident.

"I was shocked at the ghastly incident in which Thiru Pramod Mahajan was shot at. Please accept my sincere wishes for his speedy recovery and return to normal routine," Karunanidhi, on a campaign tour in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, said.
