Iran to ignore UNSC demands to halt nuclear drive
Wednesday, April 26 2006 16:24 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Tehran: Iran will ignore any UN Security Council demands to halt its disputed nuclear programme, hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed today (Apr 26, 2006).

"If international institutions respect our legitimate rights, we will respect their decisions. However, we will not regard these decisions as valid if they are intended to deny us our rights," the president was quoted as saying by the official news agency IRNA.

"We hope they will fulfil their duty lawfully so that the Islamic republic will not need to reconsider its relations with them," he added.
