Kerala in the grip of uncertainty: Karunakaran Monday, May 1 2006 14:57 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Thiruvananthapuram:
A year after he broke ranks with the Congress and floated the Democratic Indira Congress(K), senior leader K Karunakaran today (May 1, 2006) said Kerala was in the grip of political uncertainty and that this situation could have been avoided if his party had gone ahead with its original policies and programmes.
"Had we gone ahead with the stand we declared at the time of the party's launch, we could have avoided groping in the dark," Karunakaran said, addressing party workers on the first anniversary of the DIC-K at the party headquarters here.
He said never in his long political career was he witness to such a political uncertainy as the state was facing now.
Alluding to DIC-K's tie-up with the UDF in Kerala, he said the party's future course would be decided in consultation with its leaders and workers after the assembly polls.
