Jaipur: Senior BJP leader L K Advani has sought a report from Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on the violence in Vadodara.

"I have talked to Narendra Modi and Gujarat Home Minister Amit Bhai Shah and asked for a report on the violence in Vadodara," Advani told reporters here today (May 3, 2006).

He claimed that efforts were on to prevent further flare-ups in the city.

"The Gujarat government, while following court orders on encroachments, will make efforts to curb violence and maintain communal harmony," Advani said.
