Cong conveys grief over the death of Pramod Mahajan

New Delhi: Congress today (May 3, 2006) expressed deep grief over the death of BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, whom it described as one of the most competent ministers, a very good organiser and an able politician who played an important role in Indian politics.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the entire party shared the grief of the family of the late leader, who had played an important role in Indian politics, party spokesperson Rajiv Shukla said.

He especially eulogised Mahajan's performance as Parliamentary Affairs Minister.

He said a delegation from the party would be attending his funeral.
