Mumbai: The condition of BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan, undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hospital here after being shot at by his brother Praveen, has worsened today (May 3, 2006), BJP sources said.

BJP leaders who visited him at the hospital said his condition has worsened.

As reports of Mahajan being in a precarious condition filtered in, political leaders, including BJP's Sushma Swaraj and Shiv Sena's Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Thackeray's daughter-in-law Smita Thackeray landed at the hospital.

A battery of mediamen, cameramen and BJP workers are also at the hospital.

Doctors are attending to Mahajan at the ICU, sources added.
