Bangalore: Abdul Kareem Telgi, prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam, today (May 6, 2006) informed a special court here that he wants to make another confessional statement alleging that politicians, businessmen, doctors and police were involved in the scandal.

"I want to make a confessional statement. I want to reveal everything," Telgi told Special Judge Vishwanath Virupax Angadi at Parapana Agrahara on the city outskirts through videoconferencing from Yerwada prison in Pune where he is lodged now.

"If I am found guilty, I may be hanged. I want to make a confession before truth dies with me," Telgi said seeking the court's permission to make the second confessional statement after the one he made before a Mumbai court some time ago.

Telgi said he wanted to make the statement relating to the fake stamp paper case registered in Madivala here and all other cases.

"I want to reveal. I have made up my mind," he said and added that he had already made a 400-page confessional statement and wanted some more time. He had to consult his lawyer also.

Asked by the court how much time he required, he said 15 days.

Telgi said the statement could be recorded either before the Special Court here or before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Pune.

The court posted the case for May 22.
