SAARC interior ministers' conference from May 11

New Delhi: Combating terrorism and menace of money laundering will be on the top of the agenda of the SAARC Interior Ministers' conference starting in Dhaka on May 11.

Besides these issues, the delegation led by Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who will leaving for Dhaka tomorrow, will also discuss trafficking in women and children, technical cooperation in police matters and training of police personnel of SAARC countries, an official spokesman said here.

They would also discuss strengthening of the existing structure of SAARC Terrotist Offences Monitoring Desk (STOMD) and SAARC Drug Offences Monitoring Desk (SDOMD).

Union Home Secretary V K Duggal is already in Dhaka toattend the first meeting of Interior Secretaries beginning tomorrow. A team of senior police officers from India is attending the police meet, which began today.
