CCS reviews internal security state of the nation

New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Security yesterday (May 9, 2006)night reviewed the internal security situation in the country.

"The internal security situation was reviewed by the CCS," informed sources said.

The 30-minute-meeting, presided by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, comes close on the heels of the violence in Vadodara following demolition of a dargah there.

The meeting, among others, was attended by Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Finance Minister P Chidambaram.
