Kolkata: Model-turned-actor, Shayan Munshi, a key witness in the sensational Jessica Lal murder case, was arrested at the Kolkata airport today (May 13,2006) as he was about to leave for Bangkok.

Munshi, who had turned hostile during the trial, wasapprehended by officers of the Immigration department at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport after he turned up to complete formalities before boarding a Bangkok-bound Indian Airlines flight.

Immigration sources said there was a Delhi police lookout notice against Munshi.

He has been handed over to the airport police and would be produced before a district court later today.
