Mumbai:
Pravin Mahajan, held on the charge of murdering his elder brother and BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan, will appear before a local court today through
video-conferencing, his lawyer Nandkumar Rajurkar said here.
Judicial remand of Pravin expires today (May 17, 2006).
Pravin will urge the court to permit him to undergo psychiatric tests to ascertain his state of mind and under what circumstances he had shot his elder brother on April 22,
Rajurkar said.
This is the fourth time that Pravin would be making such a plea. Earlier the court had rejected his plea, Rajurkar added.
Pravin will also make a fresh plea to the court for return of his car seized by Worli police.
Earlier, the court has rejected his plea to return thecar to his family saying investigations were underway.
