Second day of PM's roundtable conference resumes

Srinagar: "The roundtable conference of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh resumed here for the second day today (May 25, 2006) during which the participants would further deliberate on the suggestions put before the conference in the opening session," official sources said.

The conference convened by the Prime Minister began at 10 am with 30 participants representing various political parties and interest groups from Jammu and Kashmir.

The Prime Minister will present his remarks at the Conference after deliberations are over.

The two-day conclave, the second in three months, is expected to evolve a mechanism through sub-groups to address specific issues like security, economic development, human rights and cross-LoC travel and trade.
