CBSE announces Class Tenth examinations results

New Delhi: The results of the Class X examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were declared today (May 27, 2006).

The results for all the regions Delhi, Ajmer, Chennai, Guwahati, Chandigarh and Allahabad were announced together.

The Class X examinations were conducted by the Board across the country as well as overseas in March.

The results are available at the respective schools and can also be accessed through SMS on mobile phones, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) on phone as well as on the Internet, the CBSE said.

Students can also log on to the websites www.cbse.nic.in, www.cbse.gov.in, www.results.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in to access the results.

A total of 6,46,387 students 3,77,448 boys and 2,68,939 girls have appeared for Class X examinations in over 2,000 centres across the country.

Altogether 9,568 students from foreign countries had also appeared for the examination.

The Board has also launched a help line to provide the students with post-result counselling.

The help line, which will also be operational in Dubai, Kuwait and Doha in Qatar, will be functional till June six.

The CBSE had on Tuesday announced the results of Class XII examinations.
