New Delhi: As it prepared to deliberate on the outcome of the Roundtable conference, frontline Kashmiri Pandit Organisation, Panun Kashmir (PK) today May 27,2006) expressed its strong objection to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's decision to discuss autonomy for the state.

The group, which is for the creation of a separate homeland for Hindus in the valley, said if the Centre went ahead to grant autonomy to the J-K, it will intensify its movement for geo-political reorganisation of the state.

"We are strongly opposed to grant of autonomy to J-K. We wonder whether the Prime Minister's announcement amounts to negating the 1994 Parliament resolution that the entire undivided state belongs to India," PK General Secretary Ramesh Manvati told PTI here.

He argued that the state already enjoyed enough autonomy and there was need to integrate it with the Union more strongly so that the Indian Constitution flows freely in the state.

Referring to Hurriyat Conference, Manvati questioned why the Centre was entertaining the 'tantrums' of the separatist conglomerate.

"The Hurriyat does not represent anybody. Even if it does, it represents a miniscule population in certain parts of Kashmir valley," the PK leader said.

He pointed out that people of Jammu and Ladakh regions, besides Pandits, Gujjars and Bakerwals have already emphasised that the Hurriyat does not represent them.

Senior PK leaders, whose Chairman Agnishekhar and President Ajay Chrungoo, participated in the two-day Roundtable in Srinagar, will meet in Jammu to deliberate on the conclave and its impact on the community tomorrow.
