Hizbul militant surrenders n Udhampur district

Jammu: A Hizbul Mujahideen militant has surrendered in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today (May 30, 2006).

Abdul Qayoom alias Javed Iqbal surrendered before SSP, Reasi, J L Sharma and an Army Commandant in Reasi belt of the district yesterday with an AK rifle, one magazine, 33 rounds, two remote control units and a radio set, the sources said.
