The Delhi High court today (June 2, 2006) asked the CBI and two others to file their replies on a PIL which alleged that Rs 14,000 crore worth of land and building property belonging to the Delhi and Mumbai international airport had been granted on a measly annual rental lease of Rs 200 under the airports modernisation programme.
A divison Bench of Justice M K Sharma and Justice Hima Kohli asked the CBI, Airport Authority of India and Ministry of Civil Aviation to file their replies in an affadavit within four weeks and posted the matter for further hearing on July 20.
However. The Bench at the request of Additional Soliciter General Gopal Subramanian asked the petitioners' organisation Rashtriya Mukti Morcha to delete the name of the civil aviation minister Prafull Patel from the list of respondents.
