Monday, June 5 2006 12:51 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Supreme Court today (June 5, 2006) dismissed a petition filed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohd Ashraf Mir, alleged to be involved in the Jammu and Kashmir sex scandal.

The petition challenged the Jammu and Kashmir High Court order which refused to allow anticipatory bail or regular bail by any subordinate court in this case, without its permission.

An order to this effect was passed by a vacation Bench comprising Justice Arijit Pasayat and Justice C K Thakker.
