There is no question of returning back to BJP: Uma
Tuesday, June 6 2006 12:49 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Raipur: Firebrand Hindutva leader Uma Bharti today (June 6, 2006) denied returning back to BJP fold and said leaders of her old party were trying to damage her credibility.

"There is no question of returning back to BJP," Bharti told reporters here.

To a question about the statement of BJP that the doors were still open for her, Bharti, president of Bharatiya Janashakti Party said, "It is a damaging step to say doors in BJP are open for me. By doing that they (BJP leaders) are trying to damage my credibility and also of my Party."

"Alleging that Pramod Mahajan and his secretary Vivek Moitra were the main 'conspirators' involved in the 'Bhopal Operation'to dethrone her from Chief Ministership, she said she was a 'reluctant politician.'

"I was not interested to join politics but because of request from Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia, I joined politics. And also I have never left BJP, I was expelled from the party," she said.

Bharti said the Ram Temple, houses for poor and employment to all are the main agenda of her newly floated party.

"We have a better prospect in Madhya Pradesh,Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan assembly elections, but at present we are concentrating on Lok Sabha election," she said adding, to come to power she was ready to take help of any like minded party.
