Best bakery case: Sehrunissa Sheikh held guilty

Mumbai: Sehrunissa Sheikh and Nasibullah, sister and brother of Zaheera Shaikh and prime witnesses in Best Bakery case, were today (June 7, 2006) found guilty by a sessions court of giving false evidence.

Judge Abhay Thipsay, pronouncing them guilty, said he would give the order on quantum of sentence, tomorrow.

While Sehrunissa admitted that she had made some false statements, Nasibullah did not admit. The trial of Zaheera Shaikh in the matter of giving false evidence is yet to begin.
