Rahul's case: Court directs police to file status report
Wednesday, June 14 2006 13:15 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: A city court today (June 14, 2006) directed Delhi Police to file by July seven a status report on investigations related to the case registered against the doctors and management of Apollo Hospital in the Rahul Mahajan drug abuse case.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau also pointed out that since the case was registered under section 182 (giving false information to a public servant) of the IPC it being a non-cognizable offence, no one could be arrested without a warrant.

The court also said that no documents could be seized from the hospital without prior permission of the court.
