Bhatt conveys discontent over probe in Pramod's case Thursday, June 15 2006 13:44 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Mumbai:
The special public prosecutor in the Pramod Mahajan murder case, Shrikant Bhatt, has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Secretary D K Shankaran expressing
dissatisfaction over probe into the case, prosecution sources said today(June 15, 2006).
Bhatt told sources that he had indeed written such a letter, but refused to talk about its contents.
On last two occasions, Bhatt did not appear in the case. Later he explained that this was because of health reasons.
Bhatt said he was suffering from spondilytis and was undergoing treatment.
He has criticised police investigation pointing out discrepancies and making some suggestions on the probe.
"Police officers involved in the probe are upset over Bhatt's stand and maintain that probe was going on in a fair manner, "the sources said.
Even the court had yesterday observed that it was prima facie satisfied with investigation carried out so far, police sources pointed out.
