'No question of taking over BMIC at this stage' Friday, June 16 2006 18:02 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Mangalore:
BJP today (June 16, 2006) said there was no question of taking over the controversial Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project 'at this stage', as proposed
by its ruling coalition partner JDS.
The party's clear stand was that the excess land should be reclaimed from Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE), which was executing the project, BJP state unit President Sadanand Gowda told reporters here.
He said the party would put forth its view at the coordination committee meeting of JDS and BJP.
Gowda said the JDS should not force ourselves into a situation to be reprimanded by courts as had already happened thrice. There should also not be any humiliation to
investors, as development was the 'mantra' of the government.
BJP would also hold its legislature party meeting and itwould make its view known at the cabinet meeting.
Gowda said the Congress was 'dreaming' that the government would collapse but it would not happen.
