Islamabad:
Pakistan yesterday (July 14,2006) rejected assertions by India that the Mumbai serial blasts were backed by elements across the borders, saying that the charges were 'unsubstantiated' and wanted the peace process to be carried forward.

On India's decision not to go ahead with the Foreign Secretary-level talks which were likely to be held next week, Aslam said, "We have not been informed by India."
Asked about the peace process, she said that its is a separate matter.
"It is in the interest of both India and Pakistan and the region, and that is why we believe that the peace process must be continued and carried forward." she said.
she said, "has offered to help India with the investigations into the Mumbai blasts, if required, on the basis of specific information. We have not been provided any information nor our help has been sought."
