Justice R S Pathak Inquiry Authority has completed probe into the Indian angle of theIraqi oil-for-food scam with re-examination of four persons, including former external affairs minister Natwar Singh's son Jagat Singh, and is all set to write its final report.
The final report in the matter is to be placed before Parliament in August.
"The panel has finished examining all the persons concerned in the probe. Now, we will begin our final report in this issue," the authority sources said.
Excluding Jagat, the other three persons examined in-camera by the one-man probe panel over the past three days are Hamadan Exports Director Andaleeb Sehgal, Natwar's kin
Aditya Khanna and Hamadan partner Vikas Dhar, the sources said.
The questions were largely related to the financial transactions through which the alleged kickbacks were routed to India, they said adding re-examination was regarding the
evidence collected by the panel and various investigative agencies after tracking the money channel across the continents.
On being asked if the report would be submitted within the stipulated period, the sources said that there was every possibility that the results would be positive.
