Madurai: India and its economy will never kneel before terrorists engaged in shadow warfare, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs S Regupathy has said.

"The country will fight back any threat against its solidarity," he said while addressing the closing ceremony of the five-day Public Information Campaign here yesterday (July 20,2006) night.

Condemning the recent bomb attacks in Mumbai, he asserted that peace talks with Pakistan will continue only if it stopped its covert support to terrorist elements.

Regupathy said border-fencing activities were nearing completion.

"The border fencing activities have been more or less completed in major areas, barring some regions in the northeast where the topography and natural features are posing obstacles," he said.
