Pravin Mahajan case committed to session court

Mumbai: Three months after Pravin Mahajan was arrested on charges of killing his elder brother Pramod Mahajan, a local court today committed the case to a sessions court for trial.

The case was committed to sessions court by a magistrate before whom police had filed chargesheet on July 14.

He was today produced before the magistrate which extended his judicial custody and committed the case to sessions court for trial.

Pravin, arrested on April 22, has been charged with sections 302 (murder) and 449 (house trespass) of IPC.

He has urged for bail in a sessions court at Sewri which will hear his plea on July 29.
