Thursday, August 17 2006 17:32 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Aug 17, 2006) directed that the trial in the alleged forged passport case of underworld don Abu Salem's girl friend Monica Bedi, extradited last year from Portugal, be completed within two months.

Keeping her bail petition pending, a Bench headed by Justice K G Balakrishnan posted the matter for October 19, giving liberty to Bedi to approach the court with her plea if the trail in the Hyderabad court was not completed within the stipulated period.

Bedi was extradited for procuring two fake passports from Hyderabad and Bhopal.
