3 Mumbai blasts suspects to undergo scientific tests
Friday, September 1 2006 16:14 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: Three of the nine suspects held in July 11 blasts probe so far will be subjected to scientific tests, police said yesterday (Aug 31, 2006).

Anti-Terrorism Squad chief K P Raghuvanshi told reporters that the necessary formalities were being completed and the tests will be performed in the first week of September.

"We will make suspects undergo scientific tests as per the need of the investigation," Raghuvanshi said.

He said the ATS has evidence to suggest that the suspects are part of a terror group, but there was no proof of their involvement in the July 11 blasts.

"We need the missing link which can lead us to the real culprits," he added.
