Goa cops to probe socalite Bina Ramani's properties

Panaji: Goa police today (Sept 7, 2006)said they would probe all the properties owned by socalite Bina Ramani, who was arrested near here after a Delhi court issued a warrante in a cheating and forgery case, in the state.

"With the forgery angle coming in to her property in Delhi, we will probe all the properties including her house in Goa," Deputy Inspector General of Police Ujjwal Mishra told reporters here.



"Crime Branch has been already on its task to probe her Goa properties," he said adding no properties of her were sealed by police today.

"Mishra said police have got confirmation about her house in Candolim and a boutique owned by her in the same village. Raids were conducted at these properties today to arrest her," he added.

The DIG said Goa police had to wait for the arrival of Delhi Police's Special Investigating Team as the entire case is probed by the capital's police.

"We were aware that the socialite was staying in Goa," he said.
