Manmohan arrives in Frankfurt on way to Brazil, Cuba Monday, September 11 2006 12:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Frankfurt:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived here yesterday (Sept 10, 2006)night en route to Brazil and Cuba for attending India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) and Non Aligned summits in the coming week.
Shortly after take off from New Delhi, as he over flew the Pakistani airspace, Singh conveyed his greetings to President Pervez Musharraf and the people of Pakistan.
today (Sept 11,2006)morning, he left for Brasilia for a bilateral visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 38 years after the one by Indira Gandhi, and then to attend the
trilateral IBSA summit on September 13 which seeks to bolster economic cooperation among the three major economies of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The Prime Minister will then travel to Havana for the NAM summit on September 15 and 16 where he is expected to suggest the movement reinvent itself to tackle the issues of
terrorism, globalization and UN reforms.
