Wednesday, September 20 2006 14:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Indian Airlines today (Sept 20, 2006)operated a service to Bangkok from Kolkata in spite of a military coup in Thailand.

Airlines officials said no decison has been taken regarding the cancellation of services to Thailand where Army Commander-in-Chief General Sondhi Boonyaratkalin has wrested power from Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and declared martial law in the country.

An Indian Airlines flight with 58 passengers on board today flew to Bangkok, officials said.

"Yesterday, the IA has cancelled its to and fro Delhi-Bangkok and Mumbai-Bangkok services," they said.
