Mau (UP): Tension prevailed in this communally sensitive town after a bomb blast in Darul Uloom Madrasa in Sabzi Mandi area here, police said today (Sept 21,2006).

An FIR was lodged against unidentified persons after the blast late last night, police said, adding that investigations had been launched into the incident.

"A posse of police and Provincial Armed Constabulary personnel were deployed in the area. Security had also been beefed up in the entire town ahead of the coming festival season," police officials said.
