'India should have protested coup in Thailand'
Friday, September 22 2006 11:30 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: NDA Convenor George Fernandes yesterday (Sept 21, 2006) said India should have protested the military coup in Thailand and said the Centre's 'silence' reflected on the issue 'dictatorial mentality' of Congress.

''The UPA Government should have protested the development that took place in Thailand,'' he said while reacting to that country's army taking over the reins of the government on Tuesday.

"The Centre's silence over the issue reflected the ''icatorial mentality of Congress and Communists to the core,'' he said at a function organised to mark the 92nd birth anniversary of former Bihar Chief Minister and freedom fighter Bhola Paswan Shastri here.
