Mumbai:
A TADA court would today (Sept 27, 2006) give verdict on the role played by five accused in the 1993 bomb blast case, who had attended a conspiracy meeting in Dubai but could not undertake their onward journey to Pakistan for arms training as conspirators failed to make travel arrangements.
The five accused are Mansoor Ahmed Mansoor Qureshi, Shaikh Kasam alias Babulal, Sultan-e-rome Ali Gul, Abdul Aziz Abdul Kader and Mohammed Iqbal Ibrahim.
In furtherance to conspiracy hatched by Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon, these five accused had gone to Dubai on February 15 and attended a conspiracy meeting there.
However, they could not go to Pakistan for arms training as their travel arrangements were not made.
All the five are charged with section 120-b IPC (conspiracy) and section 3 (3) of TADA (P) Act (aiding and abetting terrorist act).
Nineteen accused have been convicted so far. Among them are four members of Tiger Memon family.
Of the 123 accused, 94 on bail, including actor Sanjay Dutt, have been exempted from personal appearance by designated judge P D Kode.
