Fernandes to join hands with Chief Minister Mulayam SinghYadav were part of changes in the run up to the elections.
"There are lots of activities going on in Uttar Pradesh. It is but natural that many changes would occur before the assembly polls. All these could be seen carefully", Party
Polit Bureau Member Sitaram Yechry told a TV news channel.
He was responding to a question on warming up of ties between Fernandes and Yadav.
However, the CPI-M leader said it was against the principle to ask any party whom it should take or not take as an ally.
"In principle, we do not think we should tell another party whom it should take or not take", Yechury said.
Both Yadav and Fernandes have said that their moves to come together were efforts by two old socialists
