7/11 blasts: ATS books two suspects under MCOCA Friday, September 29 2006 11:38 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Two more suspects in the July 11 serial train blasts in the city Ehtesham Siddiqui and Faisal Sheikh were yesterday ( Sept 28, 2006) booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
Special MCOCA judge Abhay Thipsay remanded the duo to police custody till October 9.
Both were arrested after the train blasts in Mumbai on July 11 which killed nearly 190 people and injured more than 700.
Faisal is said to be the fund raiser and manager of the Lashkar-e-Toiba in the western region and used to transact money through hawala channels under the guise of an
import-export business.
Ehtesham Siddiqui was arrested from Mira Raod and is suspected of being a member of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Some radical Islamic literature was also found in his possession on arrest.
The total number of July 11 blast suspects to be booked under MCOCA becomes four after this. Kamal Ahmed and Tanvir Ansari were booked under the Act on Monday by the ATS on Monday.
