Congress meeting President a 'political stunt': RSS Friday, September 29 2006 11:42 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
The RSS today (Sept 28,2006) described as a 'political stunt' Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's petitioning President A P J Abdul Kalam against Madhya Pradesh government's decision to allow its employees to take part in Sangh activities.
"RSS members are everywhere, including that very party which is making all these allegations against RSS. Just scratch their body and you will find RSS blood inside," said
Ram Madhav of RSS.
"This all is a political stunt," Madhav said.
"Claiming that even the Congressmen know that RSS was a 'patriotic organisation', he said RSS is a socio-cultural organisation and its members were free to work in any field,
including politics.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi today petitioned President A P J Abdul Kalam seeking his intervention to reverse the Madhya Pradesh government 'illegal and unconstitutional' order at the earliest.
A delegation of Congress leaders met Kalam and submitted Gandhi's letter.
