MP bypolls: BJP leading in Vidisha and Bada Malhara

Bhopal, BJP candidates were ahead of their nearest Congress rivals in Vidisha and Bada Malhara bypolls, held on October 30, as counting of votes was in progress at both the places today.

BJP candidate and Madhya Pradesh Minister Rampal Singh was leading by 14,913 votes over his nearest Congress nominee Rajshree Singh in Vidisha Lok Sabha seat, as third round of counting ended, official sources said.

Bhartiya Janshakti (BJS) candidate and party's state president Raghunandan Sharma was in third place.

BJP candidate Kapoorchand Ghuvara, was leading by around 5,000 votes in Bada Malhara assembly seat in Chhatarpur district, against Congress candidate Jagdish Shukla.

BJS candidate Rekha Yadav was in third position.

The seat was vacated by BJS president Uma Bharti.
