New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Nov 13, 2006) dismissed a PIL seeking CBI inquiry against Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his family members for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to their known source of income.

The court also imposed a cost of Rs 10,000 (RPT Rs 10,000) against the lawyer, A R Subhash, who had filed the petition.

"We have serious doubts about the bonafide of the petitioner who is incidentally a member of the legal fraternity," a bench comprising Chief Justice Y K Sabharwakl and Justice C K Thakker said dismissing the petition.
