Guwahati: ULFA militants triggered a bomb blast on a crude oil pipeline in Assam's Sibsagar district, a little after midnight last night.

The bomb exploded on the pipeline passing through Dishangpani forest area under Sonari police station, Superintendent of Police, Shyamal Prasad Saikia told sources.

Saikia said following the explosion, the pipeline was bent slightly but it was not punctured.
