Mumbai: Cellular telecom major Airtel yesterday  (Nov 23, 2006) said shareholders have approved the re-appointment of Sunil Bharti Mittal as the Managing Director of the company by way of a postal ballot.

In a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange, Airtel informed that the shareholders have passed the resolution for approval for re-appointment of Sunil Bharti Mittal as Managing Director, Akhil Gupta and Rajan Bharti Mittal as Joint Managing Directors.

The appointments are effective from October 1, this year.
